Temple of Leah: An Homage to Undying Love

3:00 PM

After a short trip to the Taoist Temple, we went to another temple, the Temple of Leah. It's an homage given by the Teodorico Adarna (Ellen Adarna's grandfather) to his wife. That's so sweet. Come to think of it, nothing's ever more romantic than building something for your loved one that would last for a hundred years. I could say that it's like India's Taj Mahal, made to solidify a promise of an eternal undying love.

We were welcomed by huge statues of women holding torches, lined up along the sides of the temple. It's a very touristy spot, strategically built on top with a wide overlooking view of the city. I thought that our timing was perfect since it was almost sundown. The skies were creating different shades of blue which are always picture perfect. I also took some time to check the coin-operated binoculars to view an in-depth look of the city.

Once you enter the hall, you'll see a large statue of Leah with an inscription below it. I walked around but since it's still in construction, some parts were off limits. We also caught a pre-nuptial photoshoot happening in the hall. What kind of luck did the heavens give us that day? I still don't know 'til now.

We didn't stay for too long. After a few walks and clicks, we climbed up the cab and headed somewhere to eat. But, I promised myself that I'll be back once the construction is completed. I can barely wait to see how it all unfolds. Surprisingly, I loved this a little bit more than the first temple we visited just because there is presence of an undying love in the history of it's building.  I guess I am a hopeless romantic that way.
