So, there I was, living near Kapitolyo, Pasig, a food haven I still haven't got the chance to explore, until last week. I have heard of a few interesting food joints that I personally would want to try.

A jeepney ride away from MRT Shaw Boulevard, Kapitolyo has slowly created a social buzz with its wide variety of food stalls and restaurants. It has become the new weekend hangout spot for us self-proclaimed food gluttons.

I walked the streets of Kapitolyo and found a very crowded Kanto Freestyle Breakfast, so I headed to Gastro Park instead. It's very weird to have your dessert first, I know. But not all the shops were open, so I settled with what was currently there. My attention was caught by Sweet Nothing Shakes because of its fancy decors. The staff was also nice, telling me about what's their best-selling drink. She was a little taken aback when I told her that their shakes are making traffic all over the internet. 

I ordered their Strawberry Shortcake Shake. I was a little halfhearted when I ordered it because I was initially thinking of getting the green tea one. As soon as I saw her coming down my way holding the shake, I knew it was gonna be a very fun drink. It was the fanciest shake I have ever ordered, ever. It was so decadent. The cotton candy paired with a milky strawberry shake was a sweet deadly treat. I know that it might be too sweet for other people, but I love sweet desserts, so it doesn't even matter to me. 

Right after finishing my drink, I checked Kanto Freestyle Breakfast if its still packed. Luckily, the number of people has decreased. I ordered New Zealand Beef Tapa served in gourmet style. The aroma of the dish was so unforgettable. It has this pesto-ish smell that I was easily drawn too. I enjoyed every single bite. Every taste's a delight to my taste buds. Wish I could order every single dish on the menu but my tummy could only take in so much.

Staying true to its name, Kanto Freestyle has a very simple interior design. 

Now that I've tried three Kapitolyo food joints, I can't wait to try other restaurants here. I'm so down to a Kapitolyo food challenge. Share some of the places you have tried here and maybe I can go there next time!
