Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar is owned by Gerry Acuzar. He started to rebuild Spanish mansions in 2003. The houses built in this heritage park were chosen according to their historical and cultural values. Spanning for over 400 hectares, the park also offers a beach, pool and restaurants.

It was one of the hottest afternoons I have ever experienced. I was wearing this unbuttoned long-sleeved shirt with an undershirt that made it even more uncomfortable. Dripping in own filthy sweat, we arrived at Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar's main gate where we were welcomed by a woman in an old guardia civil costume. What a good way to set the mood.

So, there I was, so excited as we get closer and closer. I was waiting for my jaws to drop, and it finally did when we finally set our foot in front of the open-air museum. I didn't expect it to be as enormous as a whole city. I was awestruck with the whole vintage, Spanish era vibe going on. I saw horse-drawn carriages touring around and staff wearing vintage uniforms.

We arrived just in the nick of time for the last guided tour of the day. We joined the walking pack of tourists as if we were with them the whole time.

This was probably my favorite out of all that I saw that day. The emerald windows, turquoise doors and walls painted with bright mustard yellow complemented each other so well. On top of that, the Corinthian-influenced pillars together with the Gretian statues that stood in between the tall windows made it a lot more stunning. I can't help myself but to take gazillion of photos just to capture its beauty.

I wouldn't mind living here.

Then my attention was caught by this bicycle leaning against the door. It was like a cutout from a travel magazine. Everything was working on its favor, like how the light crafted rich shadows and how the colors created magic.

Hotel de Oriente

Anywhere you look is always postcard-perfect. It's almost too perfect to believe that these mansions are standing around you. Though the sunset painted the town orange, it just seemed to add hues to their silhouettes.
